NADP Conference: 3 July

The National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP) held their annual conference on  Friday 3rd July 2009.

Katherine Hewlett, InCurriculum Development Director, delivered workshop on the InCurriculum project titled ‘Developing the AchieveAbility of an Inclusive Curriculum in Higher Education.’

During the workshop delegates were able to discuss the project and comparing it with their own institutions.


InCurriculum Conference: 25 June

The InCurriculum project interim conference took place on Thursday 25th June 2009 at the University of Westminster, London. The conference was attended by 40 people from HE institutions and organisations across the UK. The conference was opened and Chaired by Professor Paula Hixenbaugh, National Teaching Fellow at the University of Westminster. Judi Stewart, Chief Executive of the British Dyslexia Association, gave the key note speech titled What is Policy without practice?Three workshops were delivered by each institution coordinators on the following themes;

~ Tools for dynamic learning: Felicity Booth, Norwich University College of the Arts

~ Capturing the voice: exercises in discursive learning: Katie Hayes, University of Westminster

~ Enhanced student engagement through multi-sensory dialogue: Richard Chipps, De Montfort University

The conference and workshops were filmed and will be available for viewing on shortly.
